Top Row Racing Media spent $3,800 on camera equipment upgrades and replacement parts in 2025 which included 20 new GoPro Enduro batteries.

Currently, we have three broken small mounts, one broken Jaws clamp, and two broken protective housing units that need replaced from racing incidents.

We also plan to continue to invest in our set-up which includes a sound board to manage multiple mics and channels.

Our inventory includes 19 GoPro Hero 9s, and the newest camera is a GoPro Hero 13. While the Hero 9 is still a quality camera, they no longer qualify for insurance coverage, GoPro replacement, and they are too old for firmware updates to be installed which keeps the camera at top performance. We want to begin phasing out our oldest cameras to at least the Hero 12 which we currently have five of in our inventory with one Hero 13 and one Hero 10.

Several drivers have expressed interest in purchasing our older cameras to use for car performance needs, but the selling rate of one current Hero 9 will not cover even 25% of a new camera replacement.

EQUIPMENT UPGRADES AND UPKEEP

Currently, Top Row Racing Media has one videographer who oversees all operations and content. With an increase in interested tracks looking to schedule Top Row Racing Media to cover their events, the need to expand the team continues to grow.

An additional team member could help cover a second track within the same day, and if there is not a second event on the schedule, could help provide content coverage from the pit area as well as driver interviews in the make ready shoot in addition to other content and social media needs.

Top Row Racing Media has two talented photographers who have joined the team, but their schedules do not always allow for them to be at the same event as our videographer which decreases race related photos once a program starts. Money allocated towards expansion of the team will allow for Top Row Racing Media to continue to provide wall-to-wall Race Day coverage as well as develop and maintain track and series partnerships.

TEAM EXPANSION

Fuel is one of our largest expenses each season, especially as our mileage increases with the growth in our coverage and reach.

In 2025, Top Row Racing Media drove 13,036 miles to and from race events.

Although our social media channels are monetized, the amount of money we earned from our content in 2025 covered only 65% of our expenses. While we made several cuts to our budget as a result of our significant camera and support equipment purchase in March, Top Row Racing Media operated in the red for a second year in a row. The deficit was trimmed by around $3,700 when compared to the 2024 season deficit, but it was not enough to overcome a little over $6,000 in costs.

The impact of two deficit years means that in 2026 we are already scaling back equipment replacement needs, production set-up equipment purchases, and sponsorship dollars for race teams.
