New Paris: New Combined Class Debuts in 2026

NEW PARIS — As announced at their 2025 Season Banquet Celebration, the Outlaw Front Wheel Drives and Mini Stocks will be combined to form one class as a part of New Paris Speedway’s 4-in-1 Show.

New Paris has been on the front side of change as they were the first track in the area to offer the Limited Late Model class weekly in recent history. As the Outlaw Super Late Model class became more specialized with more big money shows, many tracks in the area struggled to maintain car counts to fill a full feature. Tracks like Kalamazoo and Russell’s M-40 Speedway opted for the Limited Late Models as a weekly class in 2024 which helped create more cars in the area.

As Front Wheel Drive and Mini Stock numbers fluctuate around the area, tracks like Kalamazoo, Springport, and Corrigan Oil combined their stock Front Wheel Drive cars—usually the largest in count—with their faster, Outlaw style cars as an ABC class. Mini Stocks could join in with these groups at places like Kalamazoo. Russell’s M-40 Speedway opted to go a slightly different direction as they left their stock class in place (Road Warriors) and combined their Outlaw Front Wheel Drives and Mini Stocks to become their Xtreme Stock class.

New Paris will join the ranks with M-40 as New Paris collaborates with National Compact Touring Series owner Drew Jach to run similar rules at New Paris, especially as several drivers wish to attend a few races with the Compacts. For drivers like Cecil VanBlaricom, a longtime New Paris racer who has dipped his toes into the National Compact scene across the region, a similar rule set opens the door to mix in New Paris and NCTS dates. The ultimate goal of the move is to create solid feature fields and create a level playing field.

The move also helps drivers along the border for weekends New Paris is off or has a Night of Destruction. They can compete at places like Russell’s or join the Compacts at their select events across the region. Likewise, if tracks have an off weekend, New Paris could become a destination point with the similar rule set.

The complete 2026 rules can be found here: https://www.newparisspeedway.com/rules/. As always with rules, tracks have the jurisdiction to adjust and make changes as needs arise, so drivers are always encouraged to check the rules of any track they plan to attend as there could be slight differences.
