Liz Fetters

𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩

For 12 years, Liz Fetters of Capturing The Moment by Liz has found herself behind the camera at area short tracks---mostly in Northwest Indiana, but she has found herself at other tracks like The Historic Mottville Speedway and Kalamazoo in Michigan, too. However, Liz has grown up around racing, and she's been in the racing scene since she was 11 days old!

Her grandfathers Bob and Larry, her Uncle Bobby (Schisler, 2025 Street Stock Champion at New Paris), her cousin's Bug (Schisler, 2025 Trifecta Limited Late Model Champion) and Chris, and her step-father, John, and father, Tony, have all raced or are currently racing around the area. Her niece and nephew, Evan and Cailee Verduin, are also racing after successful years in the Mini Wedge program. Evan is in the same Street Stock his dad built decades ago, later raced by legend Cindy Stremme, and Cailee in the Hornets. All this to say--racing is in her blood.

Many racing families might be able to relate to Liz's experiences too. Family dinners were moved to the garage so that cars could be worked on, late nights at the track, and the range of emotions that racing can bring from the high of highs to the low of lows. For Fetters, all of those memories she's captured in her lifetime have made her one of the top photographers around Michiana.

Behind the camera, Liz has had the opportunity to capture the success and moments for many drivers which has included her own family members. That in itself can be stressful as a race unfolds with family on the track, but Liz always maintains a neutral and professional fairness to all drivers on the track. In Victory Lane, Liz congratulates each driver and snaps many photos. The bonus, however, was her arrival to New Paris Speedway after many years away. She was able to capture championship moments for Bobby, his 8th overall, and Bug in the 2025 season.

A lifetime at the track, thousands of memories created, and thousands more captured. Liz Fetters an eye for the moment, and through her photography, those moments will live on forever.
