New Paris: Night of Destruction Banquet February 7th
MIDDLEBURY, IN — One day before the NFL season comes to a close with the Super Bowl, the New Paris Speedway will honor and recognize the accomplishments of the 2025 Night of Destruction season.
Hosted at the Middlebury American Legion Post 210, doors to the venue open at 5 P.M. with Party on the Patio providing delicious food for attendees. The food truck provided food services for the weekly racing banquet, and it was a huge hit. Cash and card accepted as payment, and there will be a cash register inside the banquet hall where attendees can order their food. A server from the food truck will bring the food into the hall and call out names. With hot food items such as the “Straight Up Burger,” PBB & JJ Burger (peanut butter-jalapeno jelly),” Ham & Cheese sliders, Roasted Brussel Sprouts, a Pork Belly Wrap, and smoked brisket (to name a few items), there will be plenty of affordable food options available for all taste buds. The roasted Brussel sprouts were a huge hit at the weekly banquet.
The awards will start around 6:30 P.M. with several awards being presented to competitors which includes the Master of Mayhem Award, Fan Favorite Driver, Heart of the Pits, WTFF Award, Most Viral Moment Award, and many, many more.
While at other tracks a Night of Destruction is an event with competitors, at New Paris, the competitors make the event. A tight community of stars showcases their skills with every event, and the Night of Destruction at New Paris draws in those who love to wreck things and weekly drivers who look to let out some steam and have fun. Oh, and they can wreck things too and not have a huge bill as if were a Street Stock or Late Model.
The New Paris faithful represent the track around the community often participating in Touch a Truck events, parades, and community festivals. There are many teams, such as Coneheads, The New Paris Patriot, The Angry Unicorn, Roadrage Mafia, and The New Paris Shark who have created social media followings that are bigger than many weekly racers in the area. Dedicated sections of fans cheer for their favorites, and the roar of when one of their favorite cars appears can be heard far and wide. While there are trophies on the line, in many cases, kids walk away with the trophy after the race as drivers hand them out, and Jeremy Wortinger provides the always entertaining play-by-play and color commentary that brings the night to life.
The New Paris Speedway Night of Destruction season starts April 18th with plenty of chaos in store for 2026. From burnout competitions to spectator drags, trailer races, and the always famous Pac-Man Race, The Arena of Destruction will be must-see every event.
