Anthony Duell

It wasn't long ago that Anthony Duell was a fan in the stands, but before too long, Duell was more than hooked and found himself on the track before the 2024 season concluded.
Where many drivers might take what some would call a traditional path--Front Wheel Drive for some time, move up to a Street Stock, then if budget and time allows, a Late Model--Duell took a direct path to what many would call perhaps the most competitive class around in an area with elite talent far and wide.
Street Stock racing in Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana offers some of the most competitive races around in any class top to bottom, but that didn't stop Duell from taking the leap right into the fire. He made his first start in 2024 at Super Shoe, and with the mentorship and guidance from several people such as Scott Gary Jr., Tristan Crago, Colin Bozell, Bubba Brooks, and Chris Garrett among many others, Duell took on his first full season at Kalamazoo. He also made trips to Galesburg, New Paris, and Springport to take every opportunity he could get behind the wheel.
As he largely stayed out of trouble on the track, his seat time proved valuable with each race. Each week, fans and fellow competitors could see the confidence grow in Duell. It also helped that as he learned more about the car from mentors like Colin Bozell, he could get things dialed in even better. As his speed and timing improved, he wasn't afraid to take chances he might not have earlier in the season when everything was still new and fresh. The competition at Kalamazoo is no joke, and there are many talented drivers, even championship holders at other tracks, who arrive at Kalamazoo and struggle mightily. For Duell, it offered an opportunity to measure up each week.
At Super Shoe, Duell won his first ever Street Stock Feature as he took home the Saturday C Main. He then followed that up with a strong showing at Springport, another challenging track, where he took second place in the A-Feature.
Watch for Duell in 2026 as he looks to chase the front even more.
