𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩

In racing, there are many families across the nation who boast generations worth of drivers. Those footprints created over time can also present a level of pressure to perform. It's also common for fans or fellow competitors to compare the next generation of racers to the previous.

For Cody Lollar, the son of Kenny "Mr. Twister" Lollar Jr. and grandson of Kenneth "Pops" Sr., that pressure could have come early after his jump from Front Wheel Drive racing into Street Stocks all while still in high school where he also played football.

Lollar first started racing in Quarter-Midgets at age nine. The Little Kalamazoo Speedway Quarter Midget Club has produced many current racers all while they continue their mission to grow the next stars. As Lollar moved to big cars, many fans took notice of the racer when they heard the name "Lollar" over the P.A. system.

The wins didn't come right away---but slowly as the season progressed, Lollar gained valuable seat time in one of the toughest classes around. Street Stock racing in the early 2020s across Northwest Indiana was strong as many young drivers, all highly talented who still make up the Street Stock class today, established themselves as the next generation of stars in combination with veteran racers. Finally, in 2021, Lollar picked up his first Feature win on August 14th.

The only way to continue to grow as a driver is to take on challenges, and for Lollar, that's included trips to Kalamazoo, Springport, and Russell's M-40. As he's raced different styles and tracks, plus the knowledge from his own bloodline, Lollar put all of that together as he claimed his first Street Stock championship in 2024. Speaking of challenges, Irish Saunders knows the talent Lollar possesses, and Cody made his first Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Late Model Series debut in 2025.

Opportunities always present themselves when someone least expects, and Lollar's growth as a driver has paved a path for more to come. If anything, Lollar has ensured that his family legacy twists on well into the future.
