For many Night of Destruction fans in the area, Frank Gasko is well known. He earned the name, The Mexibilly, early in his career and it's stuck with him. For others who may not be aware of his vast trophy case of victories, he's The Voice of the Russell's M-40 Speedway where he keeps fans connected to the races and moments that happen in front of them. He also has to manage sponsor shoutouts, schedule updates, promotions, and more.

The role of announcer doesn't come easy to many. There has to be a natural feel, and for Gasko, talking to a bunch of "strangers" and managing the flow of the show from information to entertainment isn't foreign to him---he does it as a DJ for Classic Rock 97.7. In all of his roles as a driver, announcer, and radio DJ, he's built a strong fan base who has supported him through the good times and rough patches in his life.

For anyone who knows Gasko, he wears his emotions on his sleeve. That can make things tough when everyone knows when times are good or something's wrong. It's also human and allows Gasko to connect with so many people because he's authentic and humble. As an announcer, that can be tough to do---so many try to be like someone else rather than form their own unique style, especially in an area where there are so many great and historic names that come to mind for top announcers. But like his peers at M-40, he's done it his own way with his own style which has made a connection between him and the fans who make the trip to Thunder Valley.

One thing Gasko helped to bring to M-40, with the Russell blessing, was their first Night of Destruction. Because of their combined experiences in NOD planning and races, Gasko and the Russell crew were able to deliver an event that was different from what everyone else around them does. In fact, Gasko helped to prove that a driver could indeed park a car onto a moving trailer all while they were bumped and banged by other drivers in their attempt to do the same.

Authentically natural, Frank Gasko's legacy has left a lasting impact on many!
