Colin Bozell

𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩

Arguably, Colin Bozell had perhaps one of the best runs of any driver in the 2025 season, and it might not even be close.

Bozell, one of several drivers from the Bozell Racing Family Tree dynasty, has always been a tough out in whatever car he drove. Whether it was a Street Stock, Late Model, or Front Wheel Drive, Bozell always factored into the finish somehow. Like many teams, Bozell has a small group of dedicated people who help him on race day. Bozell has also watched many from his family take the track, so that knowledge goes a long way in how he approaches a race.

For the 2025 season, Bozell unleashed a brand new Street Stock which previously was wheeled by Ricky LaDuke. From May 17th to August 2nd, Bozell was on a run that won't be matched easily with 12 total feature wins across several tracks and two different classes which ended a long drought where Bozell hadn't won an A-Feature since May 20, 2023. Bozell won three features at Kalamazoo, five features at Galesburg, one at Russell's M-40, and one at Corrigan Oil in the Street Stock. Bozell also raced a Limited Late Model and won two features at Galesburg. In total, even with a bumpier end to 2025, Bozell finished in the Top 5 more than 80% of the time in 2025. If Bozell didn't win, he was almost always close.

One of the things that impressed many about Bozell at Kalamazoo was his ability to run the high line consistently. In fact, Bozell nearly locked in a feature earlier in the season after he ran the entire race on the top shelf, but Ricky LaDuke rode the bottom with some good timing to edge out the win over Bozell.

What also made Bozell's run impressive in the middle part of the season was his performance on the track. His ability to maneuver through the field and largely stay untouched wowed many. Bozell was able to accomplish this because he knew that he couldn't risk tearing up the car at any point, so he had to race smart. His talent, skills, and knowledge certainly made this season one to remember and will go down in history as The Year of Bozell.
