Many Night of Destruction fans across the area know of the Naughty Audi, especially if there is a Spectator Race that will be featured as a part of the event. While many predict the Audi to coast to victory round after round, that's not always the case. Yet, Franklin Rigsby has never backed down from a challenge.

Franklin Rigsby has raced in Spectator Drag events all around the region, and there's not a track he's been to that he hasn't either won or at least made it to the final round to determine the Spectator Drag champion. Because of how fast his car is, some tracks have had Rigsby take an alternative start position where some competitors are afforded a car length or more advantage when the green flag drops. Yet, despite the many different ways tracks look to level the playing field or add a little extra spice to the serving, Rigsby often finds a way whether he's on the outside or inside lane.

What some may not know about Rigsby is that the Audi is not his only vehicle that he competes with at events. In fact, Rigsby routinely participates in Demolition Derby events, especially at his hometown LaPorte County Fair in LaPorte, Indiana, and he has entered into several Night of Destruction events.

Rigsby takes great care of his cars, and there's often a significant personal connection to the car. That includes tribute cars to friends and/or relatives, and there are other times he's welcomed people to add their handprints to the design.

At the 2025 LaPorte County Fair, Rigsby's car was awarded as one of the top designed cars on the property by a vote of the fans. He then later put on a show with his car as he was not afraid to deliver hits in the Gut and Go Demolition Car Derby, but a fire ended his night early. He later came back in a van, also Gut and Go, and he had a strong fanbase behind him as they cheered on every blow he delivered.

Whether it is a Night of Destruction car or competition with the Naughty Audi, Rigsby is not afraid to take on the competition and compete as he chases checkered flags and trophies.
