Matthew Elsey Jr.'s career at a young age has been very successful, and the competitive edge Elsey Jr. boasts has placed him at an elite level that's been on display across the Midwest region. Elsey Jr. hopes to take that next step in the Modifieds.

Based on MyRacePass statistics alone, which not every track uses or has used in his career, the numbers pop off the screen. In 2025, Elsey Jr. appeared in 26 races and won 17 of them with 21 Top 10s. This includes wins at Kalamazoo, Owosso, Russell's M-40, Slinger, Corrigan Oil, and Birch Run. Elsey Jr. had 18 wins at MyRacePass tracks in 2024, 25 in 2023, and ten in 2022. The number of track records he's set, and reset, are equally as impressive and that's in traditional Front Wheel Drive competition and with the National Compact Touring Series Presented by Rev X where Elsey Jr. has also claimed their series championship.

One things fans have wanted to see from Elsey Jr. is what he can do in a faster car such as a Late Model, and some did get to see that opportunity a few times as he shook down his Sportsman at places like Springport. At the end of the 2025 season, Elsey Jr. unleashed his Modified for the first time at Super Shoe and will take his hot rod down to the Snowball Derby for the first time.

What fans saw at Kalamazoo's Super Shoe is only a glimpse of what he can do in the V8s, and Elsey Jr. has shown he's a generational talent that can race with anybody, anywhere which included his first attempt at Slinger Speedway in July. While he didn't set the track record or even the fastest time of the day, when it came to the feature, only the checkered flag or chaos was going to stop him as he raced out to a comfortable and commanding lead over the best Wisconsin had to offer.

The future law enforcement member has a drive to succeed and be the best there is, and fans have watched Elsey Jr. grow into a fierce competitor that's earned the respect of others around him. He's also proven time and again why he's known as Bad Fast Matthew Elsey Jr.
