Summer Allen

Summer Allen comes from a racing family where her grandfather, Doug Chilcutt, has raced for more than 50 years around the Michiana region, and her brother, Xavier Allen, races in the Street Stock class, mostly at Angola, but does travel around.

So how does Summer find a way to stand out on her own? Dinoco.

In an era where character cars seem rare, Allen rolls out in a recognizable and memorable scheme which automatically draws the attention of fans young and old. It also helps that Allen has New Paris Speedway and Angola fans that, like her grandfather and brother, she knows how to push for the front and challenge for the winning checkered flag.

Allen picked up her first New Paris victory last year on August 17th as she held off Rex Evans. The excitement in Victory Lane was full of energy, and supporters of Allen knew what she was capable of. She had raced well all season with multiple Top 5s and Top 10s in a very deep and talented Hornet class at New Paris. It was not if, but when that elusive first win would finally come to the 95 team. In doing so well all season, where she also avoided trouble that could lead to a DNF, she was named the 2024 New Paris Speedway Rookie of the Year.

For the 2025 season, Allen earned her second career feature win at New Paris on August 9th and finished in the Top 5 all but one time in her B-Feature appearances. Like 2024, she made the A-Feature once at New Paris, and she took home a Top 10 finish which is no easy task with as many Hornets as New Paris draws each week. In fact, what was most impressive to many fans in the stands, is how well Allen raced with the A-Feature group.

In 2025, New Paris had 46 different Hornet drivers take the track at some point in the season, and Allen finished 17th in the final point standings.
