The New Paris Night of Destruction scene is unlike many others. At New Paris, which hosts several throughout the season, has built a strong community of competitors who are at the heart of the speedway pulse. Tabitha DeWitt and her Angry Unicorn are one of the key clogs in what helps New Paris power forward.
At New Paris, their Night of Destruction is more than an event on the schedule. The competitors who shine bright on these nights care about the success of the track. Tabitha DeWitt is one of those competitors who takes her car to community events, showcases the car in parades, and finds creative ways to interact with fans at the track and across the area. She has requested track banners to display, and does her part to promote the speedway as a whole while also showing one kind of car fans can see at the track.
DeWitt, as one of several female competitors who takes the track at New Paris, has also created a strong fanbase who cheer her to victory every event, and DeWitt has parked in Victory Lane many times with her legion of Angry Unicornamaniacs behind her. From young fans, especially girls, to those who can tell stories of the past glory, DeWitt has connected with the New Paris fanbase while also showing the girls in attendance that they can race too.
DeWitt also takes great pride in the appearance of her car. For every theme night at the Night of Destruction, from the 4th of July to Halloween, the Angry Unicorn is full of decorations to match the occasion. The team might be small compared to some others around her, but they're mighty in their work and in her performance on the track. In fact, the Angry Unicorn makes its mark right from the start during the parade lap as the sound of a galloping horse rings loud and proud.
Perhaps it is the ease of that gallop that sets a calm tone, but once the green flag drops, the horsepower gets going, and the majestic purple becomes a streak as DeWitt makes her mark at the Arena of Destruction with roaring approval from her many, many fans in attendance.
